Centre of Portugal

The Central region is unique, like all other regions of Portugal.

Some of its wonders can be found in Natural Parks and Reserves, such as the Buçaco National Forest, in the district of Coimbra, which has many, many stories to tell; or the Berlengas Natural Reserve, the flora and fauna sanctuary, in the district of Leiria.
The historical-cultural heritage is equally special, and it's all over the place.
There are castles like Almourol in the middle of the Tagus river, bridges, windmills or tile panels to discover.
And what about the shale villages scattered throughout the Central Region, whose stones tell life stories? A real treasure!
It’s also impossible to resist the Serra cheeses, the sausages and the confectionery. Truly tempting!
